Our Albino Ball Python breeding group consists of two male albinos, 1.3 unrelated hets, 1.1 High Contrast hets, 1.5 partially related hets and 0.6 normal unrelated adult females. The albino male breeder was obtained as a baby during August 2001 from Larry Gruber in New Jersey. Larry produced the animal from his adult pair of unrelated 'high contrast' hets of the Bob Clark bloodline obtained from Steve Osborne. 1.3 of our unrelated hets were obtained from Glen Womble of Floriday Reptiles (Florida). <> For the 2002 - 2003 season, the albino male bred (at 18 months age) two large captive bred and born four year old females. Both females became gravid during the Spring of 2003. One female produced 5 viable eggs and a few infertile. The other female produced 11 infertile eggs for her first breeding trial. All five of the viable eggs went full term and hatched. One egg (shaped like a light bulb) hatched and produced a baby less than half the size of the other four 'regular' sized babies. 'Dinky' is still alive and well. She may be large enough to reproduce in the 2006 season.Male albino produced in 2005: >Male Albino Baby Group Pic <> |
